talked with Diane Rimar at the regional about registration for the Detroit
Little People of America National Conference. Diane asked me to talk
with members in our chapter to see if they would be willing to help out. There
are spaces open for volunteers every day from 9:00-5:00, Friday June 20th
through Thursday June 26th. Diane is scheduling in 2,3 and 4 hour
increments. If you can work any of these days let me know via e-mail
or by phone (517) 486-3241 and I will pass it on to Diane. Thank you,

Saturday, November 8 - Medical Conference
Fundraiser Dinner/Dance - Fort Wayne, IN
The LPA Little Hoosiers Fundraising Dinner/Dance is
scheudled for Saturday, November 8, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It is being
held to help LPA raise funds to bring all types of medical professionals to
our successful 2009 Medical Conference. It has been scheduled, and
is supported by District 5 in order to obtain sufficient funds to host an LPA
Midwest Medical Conference in October, 2009. Many more LPA Medical
Advisory Board members will be in attendance for our 2nd conference. We
will have over 20 medical professionals attending our October 16-17,
2009 Medical Conference!
FIRST OF ALL, please note that there will be
NO SELLING of the fundraiser tickets at the door on the day of the actual
dance. All tickets will be sold on a presale basis only.
It is very important to get your tickets early as they will be offered to the
LPA membership first, then to the Fort Wayne community to help support this
function. There have been numerous emails and newsletters quoting a
pre-determined price for the admission ticket. The ticket price has been confirmed
at selling at $25 per person. It includes basic admission to the dance
and includes the sit-down meal. A cash bar is being offered
throughout the evening to all attending. An Italian buffet will be
provided by one of the most prominent, delicious-tasting and highly
service-oriented restaurants of the Fort Wayne metropolitan area. They
have 5 restaurants in the Fort Wayne area, are family-owned and have been
in business for over 30 years!
For any of you that wish to purchase admission tickets
for the dance, it is important to get your tickets very early. Tickets
will be on sale at the Cincinnati spring regional this weekend and also, at
the Detroit national convention. If you are wishing to purchase tickets,
please email me @ childheart@verizon.net
or call me in the evenings at 260-483-5959. We plan to take email
orders of tickets and once mailing address is given, you can mail a personal
check made out to LPA and we will in return, mail you the designated amount
of tickets purchased. Please do not wait too long to purchase
tickets to this great, well-supported event!

We will be offering a wide variety of hotels for
overnight lodging, based on price, to the LPA membership that are attending.
We will be offering information on:

Coldwater Rd. - special LPA discount - $80.00
2. Brand New Holiday Inn Hotel - Planning
to Open October--November, 2008
3. Bed and Breakfast Inn near dance hall
If you are in need for a hotel reservation for
either Friday and/or Saturday, we will be pleased to assist with those
accommodations.
